These Terms govern your use of FundiSasa. By creating an account you accept them. You must be 18 or older.

1. What FundiSasa is

FundiSasa is a marketplace. We connect customers with independent service providers ("fundis") and hold payment in trust until work is confirmed. Fundis are independent contractors — we are not their employer, partner or agent, and we do not guarantee the quality or legality of services offered.

2. Accounts

  • One account per person; you must give accurate information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us immediately about unauthorized use: [EMAIL].
  • Fundis must pass ID verification before quoting and must keep their profile truthful.

3. Usage rules

  • Do not use FundiSasa for anything illegal, fraudulent or unsafe.
  • Do not take payment off-platform for jobs introduced here — it voids M-Pesa protection and may lead to suspension. Contact details in chat stay hidden until a job is funded.
  • Do not harass, discriminate, spam, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with platform security.
  • Customers should provide accurate job information and safe access; fundis should perform work with reasonable skill and care.

4. Payments, fees and refunds

  • The customer pays the agreed quote through M-Pesa before work starts. The full price is shown before any payment — there are no extra customer fees.
  • Fundis pay a platform commission of 12% of the agreed price, deducted from the payout; the net amount is shown before acceptance.
  • Money is released to the fundi when the customer confirms, or automatically after the confirmation window shown in the app, unless a dispute is open. See the Refund Policy.

5. Disputes

Raise a dispute in the app while the job is in progress or before confirming. Our team reviews the evidence and may refund the customer fully or partially, or release funds to the fundi. Decisions on escrowed funds are final, without prejudice to your statutory rights.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, commit fraud, or create safety risks. You may stop using FundiSasa and delete your account at any time via "Privacy & data".

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, FundiSasa is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts and omissions of fundis or customers, except where the DPA or other mandatory law provides otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability for direct losses is capped at the greater of the platform fees on the affected job or KES 1,000.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means acceptance.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to your right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner for data matters. Contact: [EMAIL] · [PHONE].
